April 12, 2010 - Recycling

Second graders listened to Fancy Nancy Every Day is Earth Day.  Fancy Nancy spoke of the need to take care of the earth in a variety of ways.  Students chimed in with ideas on how to conserve water, turning off lights, and recycling paper, plastic.  The conversation also focused on April 22-Earth Day.  The important lesson that they learned that every day is earth day since the early needs daily care.  They conversed with Mrs. Garecht on reducing trash, recycling materials, and how recycled materials can be used to make something new.
